As a young girl growing up in Texas, Rochelle Rodriguez found her passion for fashion in her grandmother’s closet. Every little girl loves to play dress up, and Rochelle was no exception to the rule. With fur coats, dozens of oversized heels, and sparkling costume jewelry-- the heart of a fashion designer began to bud within Rochelle. After receiving her BA in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of North Texas, she decided to pursue her dreams to the fullest and move to Los Angeles, one of the fashion capitals of the world. There, Rochelle graduated from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, where she received her degree in Fashion Design. Drawn to comfortable yet chic clothes for women, Rochelle determined to highlight natural curves in her designs. She decided it was time to take the plunge and start her own contemporary line. Rochelle Rodriguez Clothing launched in January 2007and quickly became one of the most sought-after designer labels in Los Angeles. The line has been seen on the “Style Network”, “Bravo”, “Access Hollywood”, and was featured in the “Los Angeles Apparel News”. Her mission is simply to create clothing that inspires, compliments, and captures the beauty of being a woman. In an industry where unhealthy body types plague the media, Rochelle Rodriguez Clothing stands out above the competition, striving to use ideas and designs which promote a healthy body image. When asked about her designs, Rodriguez shares, “My only goal is to create beautiful clothes that women will feel special in—any place and any time.” After gaining experience in Los Angeles, the designer has returned to her roots and is currently based out of Dallas. One of the brightest stars in the fashion scene, Rochelle Rodriguez is set to make a big splash with her smart, flirty, and modern designs.
